Branny Ramble – Red Route

The Branny Ramble route begins at U.S. Grants Ancestral Homestead between Ballygawley & Aughnacloy. This walk is entirely on minor roads and winds through the countryside. The route passes Branny Hill Rath where there are spectacular views of counties Tyrone, Derry, Donegal, Antrim, Armagh, Monaghan, Down, Fermanagh & Letrim. The circular route finishes back at U.S. Grants Ancestral Homestead.

Route Description

The Branny Ramble begins at U.S. Grants Ancestral Homestead and is clearly signed with waymarker posts with blue arrows on.

From the Homestead turn left and walk for 0.8 miles before turning left onto the Loughan Rd and left again after 1.8 miles onto the Doolargy Rd,

After another 1.2 miles turn left onto the Tirelurgan Rd. Continue for 0.9 miles before turning left onto the Castlebawn Rd.

Proceed for another 0.3 miles and turn left onto the Lenany Rd. Continue for another 0.3 miles then turn left.

After 1.1 miles you will come to Dergana Orange Hall where you turn right and continue for another 0.4 miles.

This will take you back to the U.S. Grants Ancestral Homestead.
