Local Leaders gain First Aid Award in Craigavon!

Walking In Your Community held a Community Walk Leader First Aid training course, Wednesday 18th April 2014 at Brownlow Community Hub, Craigavon.

Community Walk Leaders attended this superb Red Cross training day where they were equipped with the vital first aid skills that would allow them to deal with emergency situations when out walking.

Marketing Officer Nicola Cully commented "The Red Cross run a superb training day perfect for our Community Walk Leaders. This was another fully subscribed course where leaders in the area were able to gain a valid qualification, a vital part of their role as a Community Walk Leader which enables them to lead walks with their walking group. Everyone who attended definitely came away feeling confident but these skills are not only important when leading walks, they are also valuable for emergency situations that may arise everyday at home, in the workplace or when out and about."

Walking In Your Community has a range of First Aid courses planned for throughout the year.
