NI Orienteering invites you to attend a Teaching Orienteering- Part 1 training day that will enable you to gain the skills and confidence to introduce people to the port of orienteering.

NI Orienteering Association and Outdoor Recreation NI have teamed up to offer this opportunity to community organisations at no cost. However, one of the long term goals of NIOA is to increase the number of mapped areas in which people can participate in orienteering. NIOA will offer your organisation the opportunity to access subsidised (but not free) mapping services, in the hope that your community facility or nearby public area might be used for orienteering by both you and others.

The training day itself covers topics including "What is orienteering?" through to teaching methods as well as how to access clubs and events.
