A brand new section of the Connswater Community Greenway opened to the Public on Friday 27th May 2016. Marsh-Wiggle Way is a new one kilometre cycle and pedestrian link connecting Orangefield Park and Clarawood to the Braniel. Following a recent public campaign, Marsh-wiggle Way was named after the fictional frog like humanoid marsh-dwellers found in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair, written by east Belfast Author C.S Lewis.

This newly landscaped section of the Greenway creates a fanastic link especially for people from the Braniel and Clarawood communities. Thirty nine new led lights have been installed as well as new street furniture including  eight new seats (three benches and five single) and two new bins. Over 160 trees (167) have been planted which include a mixture of native species such as Willow, Alder, Birch and Oak. Further landscaping elements will be complete by August 2016.
