Valentine’s day has arrived yet again, so why not ditch the flowers and chocolates for a romantic rendezvous around some of Northern Ireland’s most romantic and breathtaking locations this weekend!

Carrickreagh Viewpoint Walk: Ely Lodge Forest

Make your heart skip a beat this valentines by taking a short stroll up to Carrickreagh viewpoint. Situated close to the Marble Arch Caves, this 1.5 mile walk has memorising views over Lough Erne. Only 1.5 miles long, this walk can still be challenging with a short but sharp incline to the famous viewpoint. However, once you reach the summit, a romantic wooden hut will allow you to catch your breath and make the most of the stunning landscape.

Silent Valley

Take your breath away by paying Silent Valley a visit this weekend. As one of the Mourne’s most beautiful walking locations, this nature trail was once the site of an old railway line that linked the close by town of Annalong to the Silent Valley reservoir. With stunning views across the famous Co.Down mountain range make sure to pack a romantic picnic and take some time to enjoy the views alongside the meandering Kilkeel River.

Giant's Causeway
